NOMTA COLLEGIATE SCHOLARSHIP

The New Orleans Music Teachers Association Collegiate Scholarship of $500 is available to graduating seniors who wish to pursue the study of music at the college level. Applicants must be currently taking music lessons from an active member of NOMTA. The audition must include three memorized pieces selected from three of the four stylistic periods of music history. These pieces will be performed for a panel of judges.

NEW ORLEANS PIANO INSTITUTE SCHOLARSHIP

The New Orleans Music Teachers Association NOPI Scholarship is available to piano students in grades 8 -12 who are accepted into the New Orleans Piano Institute held at Loyola University each July, and whose piano teacher has been an active NOMTA member in the previous academic year. The scholarship is now available to both active participants and observers at NOPIĀ and provides an offset of the tuition cost

EMILY BELL O’BANNON AWARD

The Emily Bell O’Bannon Award is given each year to the Level IV Performance Winner of the New Orleans District Piano Rally. The recipient receives a monetary award of two hundred and fifty dollars.
